Matching Campaigns

A Matching Campaign is one of the most powerful ways to accelerate impact at Black Violin Foundation. By committing to match donations dollar-for-dollar (or more) for a defined period of time, you inspire giving, create urgency, and help ensure more young musicians have access to high-quality classical music education.

When donors know their gift will be matched, they give more—and they give faster. Matching campaigns turn generosity into momentum.

How Matching Campaigns Work

  • You (or your organization) pledge to match donations up to a specific amount

  • The match runs for a set window of time (for example: 24 hours, a weekend, or one week)

  • Every dollar donated during the campaign is matched, doubling the impact for students and families

  • Funds can support a specific program (like instruments, lessons, or grants) or Black Violin Foundation’s broader mission

Why Host a Matching Campaign?

  • Multiply impact by unlocking additional giving

  • Motivate donors who want their gift to go further

  • Create urgency through a time-bound challenge

  • Demonstrate leadership and inspire others to step up

  • Direct resources quickly to programs serving young musicians

Whether you’re an individual donor, family foundation, corporate partner, or community organization, matching campaigns are a meaningful way to lead with generosity and activate others.
