Dreamer Instrument Access Grant
Black Violin Foundation Inc. (BVF), in proud partnership with Baroque Violin Shop, is excited to present the Dreamer Instrument Access Grant, a program dedicated to putting high-quality violins & viola's in the hands of young musicians. Through this initiative, BVF provides advanced student instruments to talented youth who may face financial barriers to pursuing their musical journey. By removing the cost burden of purchasing an instrument, BVF is ensuring that every aspiring musician has the tools they need to create, innovate, and thrive.

Purpose
This grant supports violin and viola students who need a higher-quality instrument or their own instrument to continue their musical growth.
Who can apply?
• Students ages 9 to 22
• Violin or viola players
• Must have at least 3 years of instruction or playing experience
Application deadline
• Deadline: January 22, 2026
• A video submission of at least 1 minute is required
• A letter of recommendation must be included
• Incomplete applications will not be reviewed
Award notification
Recipients will be notified the first week of June
